- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Job Summary:
Looking for a skilled Software V&V Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring that software systems meet the required standards and function as intended. This includes the planning, execution, and documentation of verification and validation activities in accordance with industry standards and project requirements. You will collaborate closely with development, testing, and quality assurance teams to ensure the software meets safety, performance, and quality objectives.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement software verification and validation strategies, ensuring compliance with EN50128, IEC 61508 or other relevant standards.
- Verify the Planning document including Project plan, Configuration Management, Quality Management, Change Management etc.
- Verify software requirements, functional requirements and safety requirements specification.
- Verify software overall architecture design.
- Perform software testing at various levels (unit, integration, system) to verify compliance with specifications and prepare test reports
- Design and execute test cases to identify software defects, anomalies, and ensure software meets functional and non-functional requirements.
- Document and track issues, bugs, and defects using bug-tracking tools, and collaborate with the development team for resolution.
- Conduct formal reviews of software artifacts and participate in audits to ensure V&V processes adhere to industry standards.
- Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases and defects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback and improve the software development lifecycle.
- Generate verification and validation reports, including test results, defect analysis, and recommendations.
SKILLS:
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages in C/C++.
- Proven experience in software verification and validation, preferably in safety-critical industries (e.g., railway, aerospace).
- Strong understanding of V&V methodologies, processes, and tools.
- Experience with industry standards such as EN50128, IEC 61508.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and reports handling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
